We were contacted by the client as their three story hall, stairs and landing was recently decorated by a builder who unfortunately provided poor quality painting and decorating workmanship.
When we initially surveyed the decorating in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, we were immediately horrified at the quality of the paint finish. The painting and decorating was of a very poor standard and required extensive preparation just to reverse the previous decorating, mainly the poor quality walls which where in places the paint replicated an artex finish and not a smooth paint finish we’d expect from a professional decorator.
We tackled the problem using a orbital sander connected to a dust extraction unit. Using versions grit sandpapers from rough to smooth, we removed the excess wall paint, sometimes having to go down to the bare plaster in places to maintain a uniform flat finish throughout.
